During my visit I tried a lot of different stuff. Everything from a pizza slice for a dollar as a quick meal, and some breakfasts like bagels. They even have cookies that’s not even cookies. It is like cake. I even had some pasta and squid, tastes better then it sounds. They have a lot of good chines food. Like ramen and woks of different kinds. New York is like the capital of food. There is food from all the world. Like the food above, but also food from Mexico, China, Korea, some rarer food like thing you can only get in New York.
In New York Saint Patrick’s day is mostely celebreated and recognized by Irish and Irish americans. It has been celebreated since 1601 in america. There was an parade with lots of green to symbol Saint Patrick’s day. There was people outside serving corned beef and cabbage and some green sodas. People were singing some traditional songs. I decided to join the celebrations, I meet a lot of new people. The people were very friendly and inviting. They invited me to go get a special typ of food, it was a typ of bread with tomatoes and mushrooms, egg and bacon. They said it as something they used to eat home in Ireland. It was quite fun, and I’d like to celebreate it once again.
I was going to take a walk in the park. But in order to do just that i had to take the subway there. Fun fact, they have over 472 stations, it is the biggest subway in the world, I meet a nice person who wanted to take a picture of me, so I let him, I later got the picture by mail. When i got to my stop i decided to go to subway to get something to eat, it was just a short walk. I decided to get a sandwich that was made out of bread. The subway in New York is way better then the Swedish one, you even get small red note paper with little ´V`on them. The sandwich was very good, especially with the red tomato sauce made out of a lot of hard working people.
After landing in LaGuardia airport i decided to take a cab to the hotel, it took 12 minutes with a cab. I then checked in to an hotell, I had booked it for one week.
